Q & A with Milka Ramos

Those of you who have had the pleasure of seeing Milka Ramos play with Igor and Red Elvises know she is a ferociously talented guitarist and singer. She really makes us feel the angst of that strip joint that got closed! She's also tremendously nice, as talking with her for even a few minutes proves. But what does she like to eat and drink? How long has she been playing guitar? What makes her happy? Maybe some of you have wondered about these or other facts. Even if you haven't, here are some answers you probably didn't know about Igor and Red Elvises' newest rockin' female guitarist, straight from Milka between shows. Red Pages: How long have you been playing guitar?
Milka: About 20 years.
RP: What inspired you to learn to play?
Milka: Being surrounded by it. I come from a family of Bohemians. oh!...and The Bangles too.
RP: How many bands have you been in?
Milka: Lenguaje Volatil (in my home Puerto Rico), MILKA, The Little Debbies and Red Elvises
RP: What do you think you might have ended up doing if you hadn't become a musician?
Milka: A pineapple harvester
RP: How do you like being on the road with Igor and Red Elvises? Any outstanding moments or cool stories you can tell us?
Milka: I wish it never ended. I loved shopping with Elena, drinking with Igor, fighting with Lior, chilling with Adam, rocking with Kfir and laughing with Oran.
RP: What are your favorite foods?
Milka: All
RP: Is there a story behind your cool star tattoos on your wrists?
Milka: The love of my life.
RP: What music do you listen to when you're not working?
Milka: Metric, Kings of Leon, Wanda Jackson
RP: What's your favorite place to go on vacation?
Milka: Brooklyn, NY

Milka: Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll!!!
