![]() The Red Pages is proud to announce some changes! First off, we have a brand new Assistant Editor, Dan Ludemann! I asked Dan to write a little something about himself as an introduction, since most fans east of California may not know him. Here is Dan's bio, in his own words: My name is Dan. I’ll just tell you about me: I’m 31. I work in the computer animation and video special-effects biz in the California Bay Area, and I’ve been known to do certain things with flowers and lights. I like blue, especially royal blue, but seem to be attracted to red. What else do you need to know about me for a Red Elvises let-me-introduce-myself bio? Um. I like the Red Elvises, but I especially like them because they dress well. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I ever paid quite as much attention to the way that people dress until I saw them in action for the first time. I still think that one of the most amusing moments in my life was taking pictures of them after a show in their space outfits. They also play music. Oh yeah… how I became a fan. Well, for this I owe Jamie, who’s been such a great friend for many years. She told me about a show at The Bank Club in San Jose a couple of years ago. They put on an incredible show, and I’ve never felt that compelled to dance. Many wonderful things happened. I was hooked. I enjoy each of their shows that I’ve been to since -some even more than the first one. The amount of fun this band generates in the crowd is just incredible. I’ve enjoyed meeting all sorts of wonderful fans and friends at all the shows I’ve been too, and always look forward to meeting new ones each time. Kayt asked me to tell you all what I like to eat for breakfast. That’s unusual, but I’m game since that’s easy… Trader Joe’s Honey O’s with some fresh blueberries. Best cereal ever -especially alongside a mushroom n’ cheese egg scramble I am very happy to have Dan on the staff. He is a welcome addition and has already made some cool contributions, including the snazzy new logo above, and those for the articles. In forthcoming issues we hope to bring you even more enhancements and fun stuff. We have awesome photos for you, as always, from shows in Portland, Huntington Beach and Santa Monica. We also have the first ever "Fan of the Quarter," who also wrote a kick ass show review of a Montana show. He wrote the whole thing as a comment on an Internet message board and thanks to Rick Vaughn, who sent me the link, I was able to grab it and contact Pat for permission to share his words with all of you. Igor and Red Elvises are touring the world! Or at least the United States and Russia. By early Fall they'll be on a cross country extravaganza of a tour you won't want to miss! Be sure to check the Tour Schedule, as well as Igor and Red Elvises' website and Myspace page, Don't forget to check out the great new videos in the video section, collected from the farthest ends of the Earth by Dan. If you've shot a video of the band you'd like to have us link, be sure to write and tell us. See the Submission Guidelines for more information. If you had a great time at a show and want to tell other fans about it, please submit your show write-ups (it doesn't have to be Shakespeare!) to the Red Pages so you can share the fun of the show you attended If you like to take pictures at any shows you can make it to, please remember The Red Pages that way too. We can't all get to all the shows, so let us see your photos and read your stories so we can live vicariously through you for a night here and there. Remember, The Red Pages is now updated on a quarterly basis (unless an overwhelming amount of submissions and requests for more frequent issues come pouring in, hint hint). If necessary, in-between updates may occur, so you may want to check in from time to time anyway. Any questions can be directed to your Editor at kayt110*earthlink.net (substitute @ for the *). Have a cool Summer, |
