Fan of the Month!
Interviewed by Kayt

For April, a time of Spring and renewal, we have a young man in America's dairy capital as our newest Fan of the Month. At the time of this interview, Emmett had not yet seen Red Elvises in person, but he's been grooving on their music for some time. Emmett planned a trip across country by car just to go see Red Elvises at Rusty's! That's dedication, dude! Join me in welcoming our April Fan of the Month!

Emmett and his Mustang For the record, what is your name?
Emmett Delaney

Where were you born, and where did you grow up?
Mad Town, Wiscompton (Madison, WI)

What were your main interests, entertainment and otherwise, growing up? Any obsessions you don't mind people knowing about?
Studies and speculation of the metaphysical, aaaaand… Fight Club.

Tell us about your musical endeavors and any musical instruments you play…
One might call me a vocalist, if one were so inclined.

What accomplishments are you most proud of at this point in your life?
Well, I suppose the fact that I’m still kickin’.

What are your favorite movies?
Fight Club, Snatch, Seven Samurai.

Do you have any favorite books?
Fight Club, Choke, Haunted.

What music are you into, in addition to Red Elvises?
I’m a big Tool fan (Puscifer and A perfect Circle as well.) Tom Waits is another of my favorites, Slaid Cleaves puts out some pretty cool shit… Oh, godda represent the Wu Tang Clan as well.

When, where, how, etc. did you first hear and experience Red Elvises?
My brother introduced me to them through the movie “Six-String Samurai” a long time ago. Then just a few years back I rediscovered them at a buddy’s house and have been eatin’ it up since.

About how many times have you seen them?
Not once, but that’ll change soon…

Interviewer's Note: At the time of this interview, Emmett's plan was to drive all the way to Santa Monica to see Red Elvises at Rusty's on March 28th. We hope to check in with him later this month to see how it went.

What is it about Red Elvises that draws you to them, that you like the most?
Well a few things, you’ve got your basic raw talent (not that there’s really anything basic about it), you’ve got the crazy lyrics, the killer grooves, the swanky style… you name it, those boys got it.

What's the farthest you've traveled to see them? And do you have a good story around that?
Ask me again in a couple months and you bet your ass I’ll have some crazy stories.

What are your favorite Red Elvises songs?
Well… Scorchi Chorniye is great, Joint Was Jumping, Love Rocket is out of control, I Wanna See You Bellydance, Rocketman, Memoirs of a Phuket Geisha… Christ, there’re so many.

What would you like to see them do in the future? Any ideas? Anything you’d like to say to the band?
I’d like to say one thing. Where’s the after party at Igor’s birthday?? And what is Igor's favorite brand of vodka?

Okay, last question… Do you have anything you’d especially like to say to all the fans?
We gonna smoke this joint… So I better see you in Santa Monica.

Thank you very much, Emmett, your interview was awesome! Hope you made it to Santa Monica safely and had a kick ass time!
