February is the month when the color red really shines. It's a short month but a good one, with Valentine's Day, President's Day and this year, Leap Day, in it. That's right, comrades, it's Leap Year and this month has an extra day!
This month we are introducing a brand new contest, with actual (small) prizes. It's a Photo-Captioning Contest. The way it'll work is, each month we will present a photo that could lend itself to various interpretations. So click the link under Articles up in the upper left-hand corner of this page, look at this month's photo, be creative, be funny and decribe the action in some way that's clever in a caption. I'm sure your caption ideas will be great fun!
The recipes this month have a theme in common - cooking with beer! You'd be amazed - or maybe you wouldn't - by some of the dishes that can be enhanced with the addition of beer. Honestly, I haven't tried any of these, but if you do we at The Red Pages would love to hear you opinions after you create your culinary masterpieces.
This month we have some more photos from Jamie, taken during the band's December tour up the West Coast. We also have a new Fan of the Month and some terrific photos Oleg and others (with Oleg's camera) took in Russia in August of 2007.
I'm sure you all must be missing Your Favorite Band during these long cold (well, cold in some places!) months of Winter, and we have a mini-interview with Oleg this month. He has some good news for us...hint hint! Don't worry, Red Elvises will be back on the road in the Summer energizing everyone and providing more good times. It'll be here before you know it. So whip out that hot chocolate, or those pina coladas if you're lucky enough to live someplace warm (beer is always good either way!), and enjoy this Valentine card from Red Elvises while you peruse the February issue. Be sure to tell your friends, and keep supporting and enjoying Red Elvises!
