![]() Greetings, Red Elvises Fans! Welcome to the September issue of our Fanzine! September already, can you believe it? This year is going by fast!! Igor, Oleg and Elena are in Russia, Siberia and Ukraine this month playing packed houses, I'm sure. America misses them but they must share their music with the world as is their destiny. Beth has been playing her own shows in Texas and having a kick ass time, I'm sure, and Adam has been helping out on the drumming for her. Don't worry, they'll all be back soon and will begin a new U.S. tour this Fall! Just remember... ![]() It is a rather light issue this month but I hope you'll enjoy our first ever twins(!) Fan(s) of the Month! They are Mundwilers, therefore, they must be Red Elvises fans! Also, an updated review of the book "Dermo!" for your reading enjoyment, and some new fun photos, including some picturing a major cleaning of the van undertaken in May and a gorgeous set of photos of Beth taken in Allentown by the very talented photographer Sheri Bayne. Also, Oleg sent links to two sets of photos of Red Elvises from Russia. He didn't elaborate so I'm not sure exactly who took these; if they're yours please let me know (in English, please). They're really cool so I wanted all of you to see them. In our new category, "Fun Stuff," where you can try out your puzzling and gaming skills, we have several new little things. With one you can arrange letters on a red fridge (Just click on "Clear" at the bottom to start making your own phrase, and you may have to click on each letter twice to get it going). There's also a version of the old "Magic 8 Ball," a toy introduced, oh, sometime around the 1960s or 1970s, I think. You don't have to put in your name or other info to get it to work. And, just for "unmentionables" and giggles, there's a little Elvis quiz. Sorry about all the clutter on that website it's linked to...be sure to come back here after taking it so you can see the great recipe for Gypsy Heart Borscht and cook some up! We plan to add more games and things like that in the future and hopefully some that are more fun. If you come across anything fun or other pertinent recipes let me know. If you've recently "joined" the Red Army by volunteering, via email, to help put up posters and so on to promote upcoming Red Elvises shows in your area, we salute you! And I'll get your names updated on the Credits page by next month, I promise. Sorry for the delay but you are very much appreciated. Hope you enjoy the September issue! Wishing you all cooler, crisp RED Fall days, and less rain if that's what your area of the country needs or more rain if, like my area, you've been in a drought! |
