The show Friday was awesome... I got to go up on stage and the band had everyone sing Happy Birthday to me. It was so cool. That was a first for me ever. Those guys.. they sure do know how to make a girl feel special. I tell all my friends that I am only 14 and the band told the crowd that I was "only 14 so don't tell the bartender..” My daughter said that the bartenders looked over to the band area, she said it was so funny how fast they turned their attention to the stage.
I danced all night long.
Sunday we went to see them at the Silver Dollar Saloon in Butte. My son went with me along with my daughter and her husband. My son was won over by the end of the night along with some of my other friends from Butte that had heard the CDs but had never seen the band. More members to add to the Red Elvises Army.
One friend said he had never seen them before, I told him to just wait, that he was in for a real treat. At the end of the evening I asked how he liked them and he replied, "Well, I guess I will be going to Chico tomorrow!" My son and my husband are now new fans also.
It was a great time as always…each time I enjoy them more and more. They are the greatest. I did notice a new member...what happened to the other members? They are still great. I love the way they involve the crowd and really get you going.
Thanks to the band, they are the greatest. Tonight I will sleep very well, I am worn out, but pumped up also. Does that make sense? At any rate, I can't believe that the weekend is just a wonderful memory. BUT... I am planning for next year and making new recruits all the time.
My son asked me when we (my daughter and myself) told him that I was Fan of the Month if that would mean I was a groupie... I just laughed and told him you are never too old to be a groupie....even at 14!!! lol...
Here's to the greatest band in the world...
