What We Love About Red Elvises

February has Valentine’s Day, and then there’s Spring, which in some areas starts as early as
March, with its promise of freshness, new beginnings and love in the air. In honor of both I
decided to ask some Red Elvises fans what one thing they love the most about their
favorite band. Here’s what they had to say, this time with the names and general geographic
locations attached to the quotes:
Question: What one thing do you love most about Red Elvises?

“The one thing I must say I love most about RE is.... their shows are affordable! HA! Just
kidding. I think what I truly love about them is that they are just a bunch of sweethearted
goof-balls that are just having a blast on stage!!!!”

“When I first saw the original Red Elvises (Igor, Zhenya, Oleg and Avi) I was
impressed with their talent and chemistry they had. It was that they were
unique!”

“Why do you have to ask such difficult questions?!?! Only ONE thing? Okay, then, seriously,
I would have to say their warmth, both on stage and in person, but gosh, that really is just
such a damned difficult question!”

And what do I love most about Red Elvises? I honestly don’t know if I can narrow it down to
just one thing, but I’ll try. I love their talent, their music and their spirit, the way they
always rev up the crowd and get people screaming for more, but overall I guess I’d have to say
it’s their warmth and sense of fun, coupled with their sheer love of life. I’ve had so many
happy times with these guys in the past five years; any time with them is like a party – you
never know what will happen next but you know it’s never going to be boring! And on top of
all that, they are, of course, amazing musicians. And yes, I did cram about six or seven
things into this one paragraph, instead of just one thing, but you’re not supposed to notice
that! Hey, I’m the writer, I’m allowed, aren’t I? Just kidding. I have similar trouble picking
just one favorite Red Elvises song, as do many of you (admit it!!).
The purpose of this little poll was to find out what some would choose when asked what one
thing they would say they love most about the band. I realize it was not the easiest question
for some because the entire Red Elvises experience is just so much fun and makes for great
memories. But it just seemed like the right time of year to think about love and devotion and
that sort of thing, and I do want to thank everyone who contributed to this article, those
listed above.
There are many exciting times ahead for Red Elvises, so all of you who love them now, get
ready to love them even more in the future – they have some really nice surprises in store
for us this Spring and the rest of the year as well. Watch their tour schedule for a show
near you, a certain Russian told me they’ll be on the road a lot!
