Vol. 3, Issue 6 June 1, 2003
The Red Pages

Greetings, fellow fans!

Potemkina's pic

I was privleged last month to see the new Red Elvises lineup, and let me say that I was astonished by how much fun I had at the concerts! I caught both the San Jose and the Santa Cruz shows, and had a fantabulous time at both - even more fun than I'm used to having at a Red Elvises show (which is quite a lot). I converted a couple more of my friends, and the long-time fans who went with me had an equally fantastic time.

If anyone ever wonders how I'm able to find the energy to do this 'zine on top of all the other stuff I do, my answer is: one Red Elvises concert generates enough zap to keep me going for months! These guys are the best, and going stronger than ever with Gustov (Adam) and Schramm in their midst. Rock on, Red Elvises!

Moving on to business: we've got some nifty stuff for you this month, ranging from photo galleries to field reports and our fan of the month. The image to the right was submitted by Maragarita Potemkina. Also, you can view the results of last month's poll over here. Looks like an overwhelming majority of y'all would love the guys to play more Russian songs. Take heed, Red Elvises! We want more Russian stuff!

On a more serious note, we have a vacancy once again on the Red Pages staff. Medved has tendered his resignation, leaving the position of Assistant Editor open to all aspiring rokenrol editor types.

The duties of the assistant editor are: gathering field reports and other reviews (this often means hassling encouraging people to get the in on time), editing them, and sticking them in the article template we use, then emailing them to me for final proofing and uploading. The ideal candidate will have some HTML experience, be good at meeting deadlines, and have a couple hours of free time per month to devote to this.

So if you're interested, don't be shy! Lob me a message and let me know a) why you're interested and b) what past experience with this kind of thing you have. Thanks!!

Yours in Redness,
Ealasaid
