Vol. 1, Issue 12 December 1, 2000
The Red Pages

Greetings, fellow fans!

Welcome to the twelfth issue of The Red Pages! We did it! A whole year of bringing fans together through articles, photos, chats, and (more recently) the email list! The 'zine has grown beyond our wildest dreams. More than 7,000 hits have been recorded on the splash page, the email list has a whopping 35 members on it, and there are more people at the weekly chat all the time. There are over 120 megabytes of articles, music, and photos archived here. And this is just the beginning!

Give yourselves a pat on the back, folks - after all, this is a 'zine by the fans, for the fans! Extra props go out to the gals who helped me get things rolling - Jibbs and Opus - and to Kayt, who helps me handle the unbelievable volume of photos we get. Without those three, this 'zine wouldn't be here now.

And, of course, none of us would be looking at this site without the incredible talent of those four maniacs with the wild and crazy hair, The Red Elvises themselves, and the behind-the-scenes Elvises, Vladimir and Phelan (aka Mr Fabulous).

I feel really privileged to be working with all of you.

There's some great stuff this month - a review of the only official Red Elvises concert video, a report from the last Red Elvises concert of the year, and a bunch of photos. The band themselves are on vacation until next March, but the Red Pages has big plans for the coming issues!

To start with, a new "Fan Stuff" (exact title to be determined) section will be added in the January issue. It'll be a page to showcase all the craziness the guys inspire! So if you have a Red Elvises fan page or a Red Shrine in your house, or anything inspired by the band, send us a photo, description, link, whatever!

Even cooler, a T-shirt contest will be announced! So, all of you who've ever thought, "y'know, a great Red Elvises T-shirt would be..." (and all of you who haven't!) start fleshing out your ideas. Rules will be posted in the January issue. The entries will be judged -drum roll please- by the band! So start thinking now, and in January, check back here for official rules and prize information.

That's it for now. Happy holidays and see you next month!

Yours in Redness,
Ealasaid
