Crocodile Rock

I must say that a lighter touring schedule agrees with The Red Elvises. The show I saw on October 5th was the most energized of all the shows that I have seen yet. They exploded out with "200 lbs of Pure Love" All night long there was an excitement from the stage.
I drove out from Chicago to see the show, and stopped to pick-up Jackdaw and her husband (hi Linda & Ron). We stayed at a hotel in Bethlehem where we hooked up with Azariah and her friend Mark who had driven up from North Carolina for the show.
The sign behind the bar at Crocodile Rock said the room could hold 1000 people, the room was over half full on a Thursday night for a show that started at 11pm. The band played for an hour and a half, songs included but were not limited to: Red Lips Red Eyes Red Stockings, Gypsy Heart, Voodoo Doll, 200 Flying Girls, Lovepipe, Closet Disco Dancer, WildMan, Sad Cowboy Song, and I Wanna See You Bellydance. For an encore they played
Don't Be Cruel/Blue Suede Shoes/Heartbreak Hotel
As a medley.
For Bellydance there were 8 dancers on stage and Azariah was the one farthest to the left, not bad for her first RE concert. Unfortunately the sound system got worse as the night progressed with a feedback problem on Z's vocals, but in my opinion this was made up for by the enthusiasm that the band attacked the show with.
Anytime you get the chance to see The Red Elvises, do it. I drove 14 hours each way, met four new friends, almost met a fifth and enjoyed every minute. Go see The Red Elvises every chance that comes your way, and say hi to the fans around you, you never know when it might be me.
