The Red Elvises at Musikfest By Jibbs

Who else could get the cameraman and security guards to disco but the Red Elvises...

The Red Elvises concerts at Musikfest are still a little foggy in my mind. I remember...bellydancing...and lepoardskin pants...selling orange Red Elvises Tshirts...Red Elvises without any shirts...Blue Moon saw me standing with other screaming girls, dancing, swooning, and throwing...and its all in a sort of a haze.

There are a few things I DO remember though...

Despite the rain there was a huge crowd there. I sold more orange Red Elvises Tshirts than you would believe.

The second night they played back to back with Brother, a fantastic celtic rock band from Australia, very nice guys who wear kilts during their shows (www.brothermusic.com) Oleg joined them on the bass for one number. Sadly, he didn't join them in wearing a kilt. I for one would have liked that (you know what they wear under those kilts...a didgeridoo.)

Also on the second night security was posted to keep aggressive women from jumping onstage. Especially aggressive bellydancing women (if anyone has pictures or anything from the first night send them my way - polkadotz@hotmail.com I was the one bellydancing in the red lepoardprint pants...) Security ended up disco dancing (no one can resist the Red Elvises charm...) Really.

Open black cowboy shirt, bright orange T with "me corny man" written on the front, glittering teal lepoardprint pants, white boots. Only Mr. Z could make this emsemble sexy.

For the encore, Closet Disco Dancer, Igor came out wearing...no shoes at all. (if I can get that picture scanned you will find it in the "cool shoes" section)

I had a good view...of their butts. So I apologize for any pictures in advance.

I believe they played one song that's not on any of the CDs, it was very good, I have no clue what it was, so if anyone knows what it is drop me a line.

And thats about it. Please don't tell me what I did that night...
